10 Best Restaurants in Dallas–Fort Worth for 2026

A Google-review-driven guide to standout dining in Dallas and Tarrant counties—plus the dishes worth ordering at every stop.

Dallas–Fort Worth has enough excellent restaurants to make any “best of” list debatable. So, instead of beginning with hype, we began with diners. This ranking compares current Google star ratings and review volume, then looks at each restaurant’s 2026 menu to find the dishes behind the enthusiasm.

We favored established restaurants with roughly 1,000 or more Google reviews, ranked them first by star rating and then by review volume, and balanced the final selection across Dallas and Tarrant counties.

How to read the ranking: Google does not publish an official DFW top 10, and ratings change continuously. The figures below are a rounded August 2026 snapshot, not permanent scores.

1 The Woolworth — Downtown Dallas

The Woolworth is the statistical heavyweight of this list, pairing a 4.9-star rating with more than 9,100 Google reviews. Its second-floor downtown setting works equally well for cocktails, shareable plates, a full dinner or a stop before a show.

Best for: Downtown date nights, cocktails and groups that like to share.

2 Taste Community Restaurant — Fort Worth

Taste is memorable for both its food and its mission. The nonprofit dining room lists no prices: guests pay what they can, pay a typical amount or contribute extra to cover another diner. That community model helped it earn a 4.9-star rating from more than 1,100 reviewers, but the seasonal kitchen stands on its own.

Best for: Brunch or lunch with heart, seasonal variety and an inclusive community experience.

3 The Hampton Social — Downtown Dallas

Bright, coastal and built for a social occasion, The Hampton Social is one of Dallas County’s most-reviewed high scorers. Its roughly 4.8-star rating across 4,400-plus reviews makes it a dependable choice when the atmosphere matters almost as much as the meal.

Best for: Birthday brunches, girls’ nights and photo-ready group dinners.

4 La Stella Cucina Verace — Dallas Arts District

La Stella combines a glamorous Arts District dining room with an unusually strong Google showing for an upscale Italian restaurant: 4.8 stars and more than 2,600 reviews. Handmade pasta, polished seafood and serious grilling give the restaurant substance beyond the scene.

Best for: Anniversaries, pre-theater dinners and dressed-up Italian dining.

5 Cattleack Barbeque — Farmers Branch

Cattleack is a lunch-only pilgrimage with a 4.8-star rating and thousands of reviews. Its limited schedule adds urgency, but the attraction is timeless: carefully smoked meats, assured sausage and sides treated with the same attention as the brisket.

Best for: Barbecue road trips, early lunches and serious smoked-meat fans.

6 Written by the Seasons — Dallas

Written by the Seasons has earned a 4.8-star reputation across more than 1,300 reviews by letting the market guide the menu. The kitchen is modern but approachable, giving vegetables leading roles and using proteins thoughtfully.

Best for: Adventurous diners, vegetable lovers and repeat visits that never feel identical.

7 Don Artemio — Fort Worth

Don Artemio’s 4.8-star standing reflects a restaurant that feels special without losing its sense of place. Inspired by Saltillo, the menu highlights cabrito, nopales, blue-corn tortillas, Mexican wine and northeastern Mexican flavors.

Best for: Milestone dinners, regional Mexican cooking and wine-focused evenings.

8 Bob’s Steak & Chop House — Grapevine

With 4.7 stars and more than 2,100 reviews, Bob’s Grapevine location makes a persuasive case for consistency. It is an unapologetically classic steakhouse, built around large cuts, polished service and a dining room suited to business dinners and celebrations.

Best for: Traditional steakhouse dinners, client meals and celebrations with a carnivorous crowd.

9 Goldee’s Barbecue — Fort Worth

Goldee’s remains one of North Texas barbecue’s essential stops. Its 4.7-star score and substantial review volume sit alongside national acclaim, but the experience stays refreshingly simple: arrive early, wait your turn and build a tray.

Best for: Barbecue bucket lists and diners willing to trade convenience for craft.

10 Calabrese — Southlake

Calabrese rounds out the ranking with a 4.6-star score from more than 1,500 reviewers. The expansive Southlake restaurant covers more ground than a typical neighborhood Italian spot, moving comfortably among Neapolitan pizza, house-made pasta, seafood and substantial secondi.

Best for: Family celebrations, Italian seafood and groups with mixed cravings.
